The UIK 1550 Premium is the higher control tier of Liebherr’s undercounter, built-in, all-refrigerator format — same fit-beneath-the-counter installation as the UIK 1424, with a more refined display.
A demo setting left active and a door alert sounding despite a shut door are the two non-mechanical complaints we see most; we still confirm the cutout’s ventilation clearance on every visit, since that’s the install detail most likely to shorten a compressor’s life on this format.
Key Features

Most Common Issues on This Model
DEMO mode left switched on from setup or a showroom display, leaving the panel lit with no active cooling
A door alarm or PLEASE CLOSE DOOR message sounding despite the door being shut, usually a seal or door-switch issue rather than a cooling problem
Ventilation clearance beneath the counter restricting airflow and straining the compressor over the long run
