What h1-h5 Means
On the Vinidor cabinets the display brightness runs from h1 at minimum to h5 at maximum, set through the same set-up mode as the child lock. Liebherr notes the chosen value takes effect after a minute, and that pressing any button lights the panel fully for a minute regardless.
Common Causes of h1-h5
- The brightness item was reached in set-up mode and changed
- A low value chosen deliberately for a cabinet in a living space
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Step to the value you want with the up and down buttons and confirm with the button the set-up mode used. In a living room or dining room installation a dim panel is usually the point, and Liebherr's temporary full brightness on a button press means you do not lose readability by choosing it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- It is a settings display rather than a problem, and reading h3 as a code is how people end up describing a healthy cabinet as broken.
- A panel that will not change brightness at any value, or that stays dark through a button press, is describing something else entirely.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
