What nA Means
nA in the temperature display is Liebherr's FrostControl record, not a part problem. It says the freezer temperature rose too far over recent hours or days because the supply was interrupted, and that the appliance resumed at its last setting once power returned. The lowercase pairing is deliberate — it is a message, not a number.
Common Causes of nA
- A mains interruption long enough for the compartment to lose its reserve
- A tripped breaker or a socket switched off at the wall
- A plug disturbed while the appliance was being moved or cleaned behind
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press the alarm button while nA is showing and the display gives you the warmest temperature reached during the outage, held for about a minute before it reverts. Read that figure before clearing it, then judge the load on what you find. Liebherr is explicit that thawed food should not be refrozen.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If nA keeps appearing without any outage anyone noticed, the appliance is losing power in a way that is not visible from the front, and that is a supply question rather than a food-safety one.
- Liebherr ties the reading to a specific threshold, and its own guidance treats around minus nine degrees Celsius as the point past which frozen food should not be relied on — which makes the recorded peak worth reading rather than clearing in annoyance.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
