What SuperFrost Will Not End Means
Liebherr's rapid-freeze function is designed to run for a long time — it drives the compartment down toward minus 32 degrees Celsius to build a cold reserve, and it switches itself off when freezing is complete or after about 65 hours at the outside. A function still lit well past that has stopped behaving the way the manual describes.
Common Causes of SuperFrost Will Not End
- The function is still inside its documented run time and has not finished yet
- A large load genuinely taking the full period to freeze through
- A control problem holding the function on past its automatic cut-off
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the clock before the appliance. Started on Friday and still running on Sunday afternoon is within the documented window. Past three days, and especially if the temperature display is flashing along with the symbol, you have moved from a function into the problem signal Liebherr documents for these panels.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Rapid freeze running indefinitely means the compressor is being driven hard continuously, which costs energy now and wear later.
- On several Liebherr generations the problem indication is the rapid-freeze symbol flashing with the temperature display, so a function that will not end and a problem that is being reported look very similar to an untrained eye.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
