What Temperature Not Cold Enough Means
Liebherr's list for a wine cabinet running warm mirrors the rest of the range — door not properly closed, ventilation restricted, ambient temperature too high, opened too often or too long, setting wrong, cabinet too near a heat source — but it adds a specific instruction: set the temperature colder and check again after 24 hours.
Common Causes of Temperature Not Cold Enough
- Door not fully closed, or a bottle or shelf holding it off the seal
- Ventilation grilles blocked so the condenser cannot reject heat
- Room temperature above what the cabinet's climate class covers
- The cabinet sited next to an oven, radiator or in direct sunlight
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Clear the ventilation grilles, check the door along its whole seal rather than at the handle, and then give any change a full day before drawing a conclusion. A cabinet full of bottles carries a lot of thermal mass and moves slowly, which is exactly why Liebherr names 24 hours rather than an afternoon.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A cabinet that cannot make its setting after the whole documented list has been cleared has moved into airflow, sensing or refrigeration-circuit territory, and the last of those is sealed-system work.
- Wine does not announce heat damage the way food announces spoilage, so a cabinet running a few degrees warm can cost a collection quietly over months.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
