What c0 / c1 Means
A c on its own, or c0 and c1, is the child-lock item in Liebherr's set-up mode: c1 switches the lock on, c0 switches it off. Its purpose, as Liebherr describes it, is to stop the appliance being switched off accidentally, and while it is active a key symbol stays lit on the display.
Common Causes of c0 / c1
- The lock was switched on deliberately and then forgotten
- The set-up sequence was triggered by a long button press while cleaning the panel
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If buttons have stopped responding and a key symbol is showing, the appliance is locked rather than broken. Re-enter the set-up mode the way your model's manual describes — usually holding one specific button for around five seconds — select c, choose c0 and confirm.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A locked panel is indistinguishable from a failed touch control until you spot the key symbol, and that misreading is one of the more common reasons a perfectly healthy Liebherr gets a call-out.
- If the documented sequence will not release the lock, the panel itself is no longer taking input reliably, which is a genuine problem rather than a setting.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
