AL02 tells you the freezer has risen above its safe-frozen threshold, but it doesn’t tell you why on its own — the cause could be as simple as a door left ajar, or as serious as a compressor failure. The first, fastest check is the door and seal: confirm nothing is blocking it and that it’s sealing properly. If the door checks out and the alarm persists, that points to an actual system problem that needs a technician.
Because the range of possible causes spans from trivial to serious, we treat any active AL02 alarm as a same-day priority rather than assuming it’s minor — frozen food safety depends on catching the real cause quickly.
