The RI1400 rounds out the built-in family as the panel-ready version — same column cabinet and electronics as the RB 1400, but designed to accept a custom door front instead of a factory finish. Two decades on, that custom panel is sometimes original and sometimes a replacement from a later kitchen update.
A panel-ready door adds a little weight and a different hinge alignment than a factory door would, which we factor in if a door seal or alert is the actual complaint rather than a cooling issue.
