On a dual-zone Liebherr wine cabinet, it’s possible for one zone to display correctly and continue cooling normally while the other shows dashes, a frozen reading, or alternates with an E2 error code — because the two zones operate on largely independent sensor and control circuits. If you’re storing something climate-sensitive long-term in the affected zone, moving it to the confirmed-working zone (or elsewhere) until the sensor is repaired is a reasonable precaution.
A technician can confirm the actual temperature in the affected zone independently, since the display there is no longer something you can rely on until the sensor itself is replaced.
