What Alarm Symbol (ProfiLine) Means
The ProfiLine controller reports problems with a symbol rather than a code. Liebherr lists the display symbols — compressor running, refrigeration unit due to restart after a delay, fan running, appliance defrosting — and then gives the alarm symbol its own line: if it appears, the appliance has a problem and customer service should be consulted.
Common Causes of Alarm Symbol (ProfiLine)
- An internal problem the ProfiLine controller has detected
- A monitored circuit or sensor reporting outside its accepted range
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Learn the other symbols first, because three of the four are normal operation and one of them looks alarming on its own. In particular, the flashing compressor symbol means the unit will restart once refrigerant pressure has equalised, which is a delay by design rather than a failure to start.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A symbol-only problem indication carries no number to look up, so there is nothing an owner can narrow down without the controller being interrogated properly.
- ProfiLine cabinets are specified for intensive commercial duty, which means a problem that goes unattended keeps being loaded rather than being allowed to rest.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
