What SuperCool Running Means
SuperCool drives a Liebherr cabinet to its coldest cooling temperature — Liebherr quotes plus 2 degrees Celsius — for up to twelve hours, and then switches itself off. It exists so a delivery of room-temperature stock does not pull the whole cabinet up, and it explains a fridge that is suddenly far colder than its setting.
Common Causes of SuperCool Running
- The function activated deliberately before or after a delivery
- The function switched on accidentally and still inside its twelve-hour window
- A control problem leaving the boost engaged well beyond the twelve-hour maximum
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check whether the function is lit before adjusting anything, because turning the setting warmer while SuperCool is running simply leaves the cabinet wrongly set when the boost ends. Liebherr's own FAQ lists SuperCool activated inadvertently as a documented reason for a cabinet being too cold.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Produce and dairy do not enjoy plus 2 degrees indefinitely, so a boost that never ends is a stock-quality problem as well as an energy one.
- A function that will not switch off after its documented maximum has stopped behaving as the manual describes, and that is worth reporting rather than working around.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
