What Temperature Not Low Enough Means
For a commercial cabinet running warm Liebherr asks four things in order: is the temperature setting correct, does a separately installed thermometer agree, is the ventilation working, and is the appliance too close to a heat source. The second of those is the one most often skipped, and it is the one that decides whether there is a problem at all.
Common Causes of Temperature Not Low Enough
- The setting genuinely wrong, often after somebody adjusted it during a busy service
- A ventilation grille blocked by packaging, cleaning equipment or accumulated dust
- The cabinet moved next to an oven, a dishwasher or a pass
- Excessive quantities of warm product loaded at once
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Put an independent thermometer inside and give it a few hours before judging anything, because a commercial kitchen will disagree with a display far more often than a domestic one. Then check ventilation and the cabinet's position, which in a working kitchen changes more than anyone intends.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Once Liebherr's four questions come back clean, what remains is the cooling system, and on a commercial cabinet that means a technician with gauges rather than an afternoon of rearranging.
- Refrigerant work on any of these appliances is sealed-system work and requires proper qualification and equipment, which puts it outside what an operator can do whatever the kitchen's usual approach to repairs.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
