A door-open alarm (DOR) that keeps sounding even when the door looks and feels closed almost always means the door seal has lost enough compression that the sensor still reads it as open. This isn’t just an annoyance — a compromised seal lets in warm, humid air that makes the compressor work harder and can gradually raise cabinet temperature even without any other problem present.
If closing and reopening the door doesn’t resolve it, and there’s nothing physically blocking the door from sealing, the seal itself (or occasionally the door sensor behind it) needs a hands-on inspection rather than repeated attempts to force the door shut.
