What Drinks Not Cold Enough Means
The documented list for a drinks cabinet running warm is the same as for any Liebherr commercial refrigerator: the temperature setting, an independent thermometer to check the display against, the ventilation, and whether the cabinet is standing too near a heat source. In a bar or a shop, the fourth of those changes more often than anyone expects.
Common Causes of Drinks Not Cold Enough
- Continuous door opening during service, which is normal use for a display case
- The cabinet sited near a coffee machine, a grill, a heater or in direct sun
- Ventilation restricted at the grille, in a recess or by stored stock
- Warm stock loaded straight from a delivery into a working case
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Put a thermometer among the stock rather than trusting the front of the cabinet, and read it at the busiest point of the day rather than first thing. A display case that holds temperature overnight and loses it during trade is telling you about door traffic, airflow or ambient heat rather than about the compressor.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A display cabinet is designed to be opened constantly, so if it cannot cope with the traffic it is either undersized, badly sited or genuinely failing — and those three have very different answers.
- Once the documented checks come back clean, what is left is the refrigeration system, which is sealed work requiring proper qualification and equipment rather than a kitchen fix.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
