Liebherr wine cabinets are built to hold within about ±1°F of their set point — tighter than a standard refrigerator, because wine is genuinely more sensitive to fluctuation than food is. A TEMP SWING alert means the cabinet is fluctuating outside that tolerance, which points to cooling-system stress rather than a single hard part failure, and can come from either an early-stage internal problem or an external cause like inadequate ventilation clearance, overloading, or a nearby heat source.
Repeated temperature swings stress wine in storage even when the average reading looks acceptable on paper, which is part of why Liebherr’s own units flag instability as a distinct condition rather than only alarming on an absolute high or low.
